AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PROJECT LIVESAVER PROJECTS TO MONITOR PERSONS WITH ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE OR OTHER DEMENTIAS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state agency on aging for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 for training and equipment for ten project livesaver programs in sheriff's departments around the state to monitor persons with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias who are at risk of wandering and becoming lost. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
