AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND AN ADULT MENTAL HEALTH COURT PROGRAM IN THE BERNALILLO COUNTY METROPOLITAN COURT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund to the following agencies for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 for the purpose of expanding an adult mental health court program in the Bernalillo county metropolitan court:

                (1) one hundred twenty-seven thousand five hundred dollars ($127,500) to the Bernalillo county metropolitan court to provide salaries, benefits and operating costs for a probation officer and a court clerk and to contract for an independent evaluator; and

                (2) forty-three thousand one hundred dollars ($43,100) to the second judicial district attorney's office to provide salaries, benefits and operating costs for an assistant district attorney and a secretary.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
