AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A DISTANCE EDUCATION OUTREACH PROGRAM TO TRAIN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE PRACTITIONERS IN ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND RELATED DEMENTIAS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 for the college of health and social sciences to develop distance education programs for a post-graduate geriatric nursing certificate and an undergraduate gerontology minor to students enrolled in post-secondary educational institutions in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
