STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

REQUESTED BY James Roger Madalena

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AT THE TORREON AND STAR LAKE CHAPTERS OF THE NAVAJO NATION IN SANDOVAL AND MCKINLEY COUNTIES.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state agency on aging

eight hundred forty thousand dollars ($840,000) to plan, design and construct a senior center at the Torreon and Star Lake chapters of the Navajo Nation in Sandoval and McKinley counties; and

• to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs

eighty-seven thousand one hundred fifty dollars ($87,150) for a water line extension to provide water to the Blue Gap area of the Torreon and Star Lake chapters of the Navajo Nation in Sandoval and McKinley counties;

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to plan, design and construct a fire station at the Torreon and Star Lake chapters of the Navajo Nation in Sandoval and McKinley counties; and

one million two hundred sixty thousand dollars ($1,260,000) to plan, design and construct a multipurpose center at the Torreon and Star Lake chapters of the Navajo Nation in Sandoval and McKinley counties.
