IMPROVEMENTS IN
I request that the following capital
outlay projects be funded:
• to the department of environment
two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for
construction and improvements for the effluent water reuse project in

to the local government division of the department of finance and
administration
three hundred fifty thousand dollars
($350,000) to design and construct facilities, including athletic and
recreational areas, for a youth sports complex in
four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000)
for renovations and improvements, including to lighting, at the Will Merchant
adult softball complex in
five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000)
to design and construct a national research institute to study cave and karst
formations in
two hundred fifty thousand dollars
($250,000) phase 2 construction and renovations at the Walter Gerrells
performing arts center in
three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000)
to make improvements, including improvements to irrigation systems and
construction of roadways, to cemeteries in
four hundred fifty thousand dollars
($450,000) to renovate the Riverwalk recreation center in
one hundred fifty thousand dollars
($150,000) to design and construct a roller hockey park at the Riverwalk
recreation center in Carlsbad in Eddy county; and
one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000)
to design and construct racquetball courts at the Riverwalk recreation center
