SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 916

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN HIDALGO, LUNA AND SIERRA COUNTIES.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of environment

one million dollars ($1,000,000) for a storm sewer and water reuse project in Deming in Luna county; and

two million nine hundred thousand dollars ($2,900,000) for phase 1 planning, design and construction of a facility for a north area Sierra regional wastewater system in Elephant Butte in Sierra county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

two hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($275,000) to renovate and repair the southwest New Mexico fairgrounds building in Luna county; and

• to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for infrastructure development in preparation for the New Mexico institute of mining and technology's research and development park in Hidalgo county.
