A JOINT MEMORIAL

REQUESTING THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRIES DIVISION TO ADOPT PROVISIONS IN THE BUILDING CODE AND THE PLUMBING CODE TO PROVIDE FOR THE MOST EFFICIENT WATER-USING APPLIANCES SUCH AS DUAL FLUSH TOILETS.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the construction industries division of the regulation and licensing department be requested to adopt provisions in the building code and the plumbing code to provide for the most efficient water-using appliances such as dual flush toilets and other water conservation technologies; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this memorial be transmitted to the secretary of regulation and licensing, the construction industries commission and the director of the construction industries division.
