AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR CONTROL OF EXOTIC PECAN TREE PESTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for the New Mexico department of agriculture to provide support for the prevention, detection and eradication of exotic pecan pests. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
