    Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 112

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 13, after "DEPARTMENT" insert "; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION".

     2. On page 2, line 8, strike "December 31, 2005" and insert in lieu thereof "July 1, 2006".

     3. On page 2, lines 12 and 13, strike "after an individual inquiry" and insert in lieu thereof "on a case-by-case basis".

     4. On page 3, line 6, after "care" insert ", to the extent permitted by federal law".

     5. On page 3, lines 15 and 16, strike "for the child's personal use".

     6. On page 4, between lines 3 and 4, insert the following new section:

     "Section 2. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to carry out the purposes of Section 1 of this act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.".,

and thence referred to the GOVERNMENT AND URBAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE.
