    Your TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 116

has had it under consideration and reports same WITHOUT RECOMMENDATION amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 13, strike "CREATING A FUND; ESTABLISHING A FEE;".

     2. On page 2, strike lines 6 through 9.

     3. On pages 2 through 9, strike Sections 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

     4. On page 9, between lines 12 and 13, insert the following new sections:

     "Section 2. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of public safety for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to establish and operate the drunkbusters hotline. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.

     Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.--The effective date of the provisions of this act is July 1, 2005.".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
