AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PARTICIPATION BY THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER IN A HEALTH INFORMATION DATA EXCHANGE IN BERNALILLO AND TAOS COUNTIES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for participation by the New Mexico health sciences center in a health information data exchange in Bernalillo and Taos counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
