AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO DEVELOP A MODEL FOR SERVICE DELIVERY TO TREAT HEPATITIS C AND TO MONITOR OUTCOMES IN RURAL AND UNDERSERVED AREAS OF NEW MEXICO.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million two hundred thousand dollars ($2,200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to work with the corrections department and a network of primary care clinics to develop a model of training and service delivery utilizing interactive telemedicine for screening and treatment of hepatitis C in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
