    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE EDUCATION COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL 745, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. Strike House Education Committee Amendments 1 and 4.

    2. On page 3, line 12, strike ", with the approval of the governor,".

    3. On page 8, line 9, strike "governor" and insert in lieu thereof "secretary".

    4. On page 8, line 9, strike "ten" and insert in lieu thereof "fourteen".

    5. On page 8, line 22, strike "and" and insert in lieu thereof a semicolon.

    6. On page 8, line 23, after "student" insert "; one representative of the tribal colleges in New Mexico; and one representative of the Indian nations, tribes and pueblos in New Mexico".

    7. On page 9, line 5, strike the first occurrence of "Members" and insert in lieu thereof:

    "Four members of the initial board, including the student member, shall be appointed for two years, five members shall be appointed for three years and five members shall be appointed for four years; thereafter, the student member shall serve a two-year term and the other members".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
