AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND POSITIONS IN THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE IN THE FOURTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. One hundred fifty-five thousand six hundred twenty-three dollars ($155,623) is appropriated from the general fund to the fourth judicial district attorney for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 in the following amounts for the following purposes:

                (1) fifty-four thousand seven hundred seven dollars ($54,707) for salary and benefits for an assistant trial attorney in the Pecos office;

                (2) thirty-five thousand seven hundred thirty-one dollars ($35,731) for salary and benefits for an administrative secretary in the Pecos office; and

                (3) sixty-five thousand one hundred eighty-five dollars ($65,185) for salary and benefits for a special programs director in the Las Vegas office.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
