AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TO SUPPORT COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH EDUCATION IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive health education program for elementary school children. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
