AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STATEWIDE LOW-INTEREST OR NO-INTEREST TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANCE LOAN PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred seventy-four thousand dollars ($274,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for the technology assistance program of the vocational rehabilitation division to administer a statewide low-interest or no-interest loan program for persons with disabilities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
