AN ACT

MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO INCREASE SALARIES OF FULL-TIME JUDICIAL EMPLOYEES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--

          A. Eight hundred sixty-seven thousand nine hundred seventy-five dollars ($867,975) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to bring the salaries of full-time judicial employees to ninety percent of their salary ranges.

          B. Seven hundred fifty-eight thousand ninety-four dollars ($758,094) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to implement a one and three-tenths percent compa-ratio adjustment to the salaries of full-time judicial employees to keep pace with salary range adjustments.

          C. The salary increases shall be effective the first full pay period after July 1, 2005.

          D. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
