AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY TO PROVIDE A PAY INCREASE FOR MOTOR TRANSPORTATION DIVISION EMPLOYEES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty-five thousand dollars ($355,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of public safety for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to provide a ten-percent pay increase for motor transportation division employees. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
