    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 382

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 12, strike "AN AERONAUTICS AND SPACE PROGRAM" and insert in lieu thereof "THE NEW MEXICO SPACE GRANT CONSORTIUM; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY".

    2. On page 1, lines 18 and 19, strike "2006 for an aeronautics and space program" and insert in lieu thereof "2005 and subsequent fiscal years for the New Mexico space grant consortium".

    3. On page 1, line 20, after "of" insert "a", strike "2006" and after "shall" insert "not".

    4. Between lines 20 and 21, insert:

    "Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
