AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER SERVICES TO NATIVE AMERICAN WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN ALBUQUERQUE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to contract for domestic violence shelter services for Native American women and children in Albuquerque. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
