AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF CREATING TWO OR MORE SCHOOL DISTRICTS FROM THE GALLUP-MCKINLEY COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to study the feasibility of creating two or more school districts from the Gallup-McKinley county school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
