AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A SOUTH VALLEY INCORPORATION TRANSITION FACILITATOR.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal years 2009 and 2010 to contract with a transition facilitator, based on consultation with and recommendations and advice from the advisory group for the incorporation of the south valley, to facilitate the transition of political authority from Bernalillo county to a newly incorporated municipality located in the south valley of Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
