AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY TO ESTABLISH A NEW DEGREE PROGRAM FOR A DOCTORATE IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty-five thousand dollars ($155,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to establish a new degree program for a doctorate in economic development. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
