AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND INDUSTRIAL ARTS, CAREER-TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS IN HIGH SCHOOLS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for the instructional support and vocational education division to fund industrial arts, career-technical and vocational training programs in high schools. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
