Madam President:

    Your CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE

              FOR HOUSE BILL 262

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 5, line 13, strike "appointed".

    2. On page 5, strike lines 15 through 25 and on page 6, strike lines 1 and 2 and insert in lieu thereof the following:

             "(1) the governor's science advisor, who shall be chair of the board;

             (2) six members appointed by the governor, provided that there shall be at least one member from each congressional district and no more than three members from a single congressional district; and

             (3) six members appointed by the legislature as follows:

                  (a) one member appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives;

                  (b) one member appointed by the majority leader of the house of representatives;

                  (c) one member appointed by the minority leader of the house or representatives;

                  (d) one member appointed by the president pro tempore of the senate;

                  (e) one member appointed by the majority leader of the senate; and

                  (f) one member appointed by the minority leader of the senate.".

    3. On page 6, line 5, strike "one" and insert in lieu thereof "the".

    4. On page 6, line 6, strike "one" and insert in lieu thereof "the".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
