AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE INDIGENOUS MEDIA ART CENTER AT THE GALLUP CAMPUS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to support the indigenous media art center at the Gallup campus of the university of New Mexico for the development of a production studio for traditional and contemporary native stories and media content. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
