AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PLANNING AND INITIAL ADMINISTRATIVE AND OTHER OPERATIONAL COSTS NEEDED BY THE NEW TOWN OF PERALTA IN VALENCIA COUNTY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for comprehensive planning, wastewater planning, rental of administrative offices, police protection, personnel costs and other initial administrative and operational costs needed by the new town of Peralta in Valencia county, including the repayment of a loan received from the state board of finance. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
