AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AFTER-SCHOOL AND SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS FOR AT-RISK STUDENTS IN VARIOUS SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN MORA, SAN MIGUEL AND GUADALUPE COUNTIES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for Luna community college to provide after-school and summer enrichment programs for at-risk students in the Wagon Mound public school district, West Las Vegas public school district, Pecos independent school district and Santa Rosa consolidated school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
