AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SUPPORT THE TAYLOR BARELA REYNOLDS MESILLA STATE MONUMENT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Two hundred fifteen thousand dollars ($215,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for the following purposes at the Taylor Barela Reynolds Mesilla state monument:

                (1) fifty-five thousand dollars ($55,000) to create management and interpretive plans;

                (2) seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to support a full-time employee to serve as the program manager;

                (3) sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to support a full-time employee to serve as the museum curator; and

                (4) twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) for operational support.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
