AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION TO FUND A TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM FOR HOMELESS AND RUNAWAY YOUTH.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to provide a transitional living program in Bernalillo county that offers temporary shelter, board, living skills education, behavioral health services and social services to homeless and runaway youth who are sixteen to twenty-one years old. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
