AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION AND PAVEMENT PRESERVATION OF UNITED STATES HIGHWAY 491 FROM THE JUNCTION OF BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS ROAD N-9 TO SHIPROCK.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred million dollars ($100,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 and subsequent fiscal years for the construction, reconstruction and pavement preservation of United States highway 491 from the junction of bureau of Indian affairs road N-9 to Shiprock. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
