    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 44

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, lines 13 and 14, strike “; MAKING AN

APPROPRIATION”.

    2. On page 2, line 16, after “study” insert “aligned with the New Mexico content standards and benchmarks and”.

    3. On page 6, line 11, strike “may” and insert in lieu

thereof “shall”.

    4. On page 10, line 10, strike “only” and after “of”, insert “the student’s parent and”.

    5. On page 13, strike Section 11 in its entirety.,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
