AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE PRE-FRESHMAN ENGINEERING PROGRAM AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred sixty thousand dollars ($360,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to support the pre-freshman engineering program to enhance recruitment and retention of freshman engineering students. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
