AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR FUNDING TO CONTINUE THE SCREENING, BRIEF INTERVENTION AND REFERRAL TO TREATMENT PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to contract with a not-for-profit, community health partnership to fund a program of behavioral health screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
