    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 293

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 4, line 14, strike the comma and insert in lieu thereof "or" and after "provider", strike "or hospital".

     2. On page 4, line 15, after the second occurrence of "the", insert "federal" and strike the closing quotation mark.

     3. On page 4, line 15, after the period, insert the following sentence:

"In providing hospital information under an agreement or arrangement with a federal agency, the commission shall ensure that any identifiable hospital information disclosed is necessary for the agency's authorized use and that its disclosure meets with state and federal privacy and confidentiality laws, rules and regulations."".
