A RESOLUTION

AMENDING THE SENATE RULES TO ALLOW AUDIO OR VIDEO RECORDING AND STREAMING OF SENATE COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS WITH THE PERMISSION OF THE CHAIR AND RANKING MEMBER.

 

     WHEREAS, Senate Rule 24-1 provides that the rules of the senate may be amended by a two-thirds' vote of all the members of the senate or by a majority vote of the members of the senate upon the recommendation of the rules committee;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE

OF NEW MEXICO that the senate rules be amended by the addition

of a new Senate Rule 9-5-7 to read:

"9-5-7    Photography, video or audio recording or transmission of committee proceedings may, upon request, be allowed with the permission of the chair and ranking member.".
