Mr. Speaker:

    Your TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 4

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 2, lines 15 through 17, strike the figures under the Other State Funds, Federal Funds and Total/Target columns and insert in lieu thereof:

         "21,167.5          4,250.3               25,417.8

          72,937.4           246,817.1              319,754.5

          54,538.1           149,381.6              203,919.7".

    2. On page 2, between lines 21 and 22, insert the following:

         "The other state funds appropriation to the programs and infrastructure program of the department of transportation includes ten million eight hundred sixty-nine thousand two hundred dollars ($10,869,200) for maintenance, reconstruction and related construction costs of state-managed highways.".

    3. On page 3, line 2, strike the figure under the Total/Target column and insert in lieu thereof:

                                                             ">60%".

    4. On page 3, lines 12 through 14, strike the figures under the Other State Funds, Federal Funds and Total/Target columns and insert in lieu thereof:

         "93,531.6            3,000.0   96,531.6

          44,352.0                      44,352.0                            97,883.5                      97,883.5".

    5. On page 3, lines 21 through 23, strike the figures under the Total/Target column and insert in lieu thereof:

                                                             ">75%

                                                             >14,000

                                                             >90%".

    6. On page 4, line 6, strike the figures under the Other State Funds, Federal Funds and Total/Target columns and insert in lieu thereof:

         "22,978.6                                     22,978.6".

    7. On page 4, line 15, under the Total/Target column, strike the percent sign.,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
