AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE VETERANS' SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR A PILOT PROGRAM TO TREAT VETERANS WITH POSTTRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER WITH A VIRTUAL REALITY TREATMENT DEVICE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the veterans' services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2013 for a pilot program to treat veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder with a virtual reality device designed to treat posttraumatic stress disorder. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2013 shall revert to the general fund.
