FOR THE LEGISLATIVE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE

 

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER TO EXPAND EXISTING FOCUS AND MILAGRO PROGRAMS AND TO FUND THREE FOCUS CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE FOR WOMEN AT RISK AND INFANTS AT RISK OF DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million two hundred thousand dollars ($2,200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 for the health sciences center to expand existing FOCUS (family options caring understanding solutions) and Milagro programs and to fund personnel and support for, and evaluation of, three FOCUS centers of excellence. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
