AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LEGISLATIVE SCHOLARSHIP FUND TO IMPLEMENT THE GENERAL RICHARD T. KNOWLES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the administrative account of the education trust board to the legislative scholarship fund in fiscal year 2014 and subsequent fiscal years for the purpose of implementing the General Richard T. Knowles scholarship program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert.
