FOR THE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

 

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SANTA FE COMMUNITY COLLEGE TO FUND A SMART GRID WORKFORCE TRAINING PROGRAM AND A MICROGRID INNOVATION LABORATORY, RESEARCH PARK AND TESTING CENTER.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 for the Santa Fe community college training center corporation to design and develop a smart grid workforce training program and a microgrid innovation laboratory, research park and testing center. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
