AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PLANNING, DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A MEMORIAL COMMEMORATING MILITARY VETERANS FROM THE BARELAS COMMUNITY IN ALBUQUERQUE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 to allow the city of Albuquerque to contract for the planning, design and construction of a memorial on the grounds of the Barelas community center in Albuquerque commemorating Vietnam war heroes Pete Padilla and Manuel Mora and all military veterans from the Barelas community. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
