AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HIGHER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TO FUND ADDITIONAL SLOTS FOR STUDENTS IN DOCTORATE PROGRAMS IN VETERINARY MEDICINE THROUGH THE WESTERN INTERSTATE COMMISSION FOR HIGHER EDUCATION.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal years 2015 through 2018 to fund at least two additional slots for New Mexico students to obtain their doctorates in veterinary medicine through the western interstate commission for higher education. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2018 shall revert to the general fund.
