AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGY TO ABATE URANIUM IN DRINKING WATER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal years 2016 through 2018 for the development of technology to abate uranium in drinking water. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2018 shall revert to the general fund.
