FOR THE LEGISLATIVE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE

 

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH A STATEWIDE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH WARMLINE AND CLEARINGHOUSE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million nine hundred eleven thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($1,911,250) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal years 2015 through 2020 to establish, maintain and evaluate a statewide behavioral health warmline and clearinghouse at the university of New Mexico health sciences center's brain and behavioral health institute. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2020 shall revert to the general fund.

     SECTION 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
