AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF EASTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY TO FUND OPERATIONS FOR SIX STATE-CHARTERED CAREER AND TECHNICAL STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS STATEWIDE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2019 to support middle school, high school and post-secondary students in six state-chartered intra- or co-curricular career and technical student organizations that enhance and accelerate career technical education, leadership training programs, experiential classroom learning and economic prosperity statewide. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2019 shall revert to the general fund.
