HOUSE BILL 112
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 1, line 11, after the semicolon, strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 12 and 13 in their entirety, strike line 14 through "ACT" and insert in lieu thereof "REQUIRING PROVISION OF HEALTH-RELATED BENEFITS AND SERVICES FOR INDIGENT PATIENTS REGARDLESS OF IMMIGRATION STATUS".
2. On page 1, line 20, after "status", insert a comma.
3. On page 1, line 21, strike "and", strike line 22 in its entirety and strike line 23 through "New Mexico".
4. On page 2, line 20, after the period, insert:
""State or local health benefit" includes care or services for indigent persons or patients provided or funded pursuant to the Hospital Funding Act or the Indigent Hospital and County Health Care Act.".
5. On page 2, line 25, strike the subsection designation "A.".
6. On page 3, line 2, after the period, insert "Such care shall be provided to all non-citizens regardless of immigration status, if they meet all other qualifying criteria for such care."".
7. On page 3, strike lines 3 through 13 in their entirety.
8. On page 3, line 18, strike the subsection designation "A.".
9. On page 3, line 19, remove the brackets and the line through "A." and strike the underscored language.
10. On page 4, line 6, remove the brackets and the line through "(1)" and strike the underscored language.
11. On page 4, line 9, remove the brackets and the line through "(2)" and strike the underscored language.

22. On page 5, strike lines 24 and 25 in their entirety, on page 6, strike line 1 in its entirety and strike line 2 through the comma and insert in lieu thereof:
"for the provision of services for indigent patients shall provide their services for indigent patients, including financial assistance".
23. On page 6, line 2, after "non-citizens", strike the remainder of the line.
24. On page 6, line 3, strike "county" and after "status", strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 4 and 5 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof ", if they meet all other qualifying criteria of the hospital for such services."".,
and thence referred to the STATE GOVERNMENT, ELECTIONS AND INDIAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE.
