AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNOR'S COMMISSION ON DISABILITY TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY AND DEVICES AND HOME MODIFICATION FOR THE CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF INDIGENT INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH DISABILITIES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the governor's commission on disability for expenditure in fiscal year 2022 to provide funding for the following programs for the care and maintenance of indigent individuals living with disabilities:

                (1) the New Mexico technology assistance program providing assistive technology and devices; and

                (2) the residential accessibility modification program.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2022 shall revert to the general fund.
