SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to SENATE BILL 232, as amended


Amendment sponsored by Senator Cliff Pirtle


    1. Strike Senate Health and Public Affairs Committee Amendments 1, 2, 7, 8, 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21.


    2. On page 2, after line 25, insert the following new paragraph:


             "(2) be permitted to extend the credentialing period to assess and issue a determination by an additional fifteen calendar days if, upon review of a complete application, it is determined that the circumstance presented, including an admission of sanctions by the state licensing board, investigation or felony conviction, revocation of clinical privileges or denial of insurance coverage, requires additional consideration;".


    3. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.


    4. On page 7, between lines 15 and 16, insert the following new paragraph: 


             "(2) be permitted to extend the credentialing period to assess and issue a determination by an additional fifteen calendar days if, upon review of a complete application, it is determined that the circumstance presented, including an admission of sanctions by the state licensing board, investigation or felony conviction, revocation of clinical privileges or denial of insurance coverage, requires additional consideration;".


    5. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.


    6. On page 12, between lines 5 and 6, insert the following new paragraph:

    7. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.


    8. On page 16, between lines 13 and 14, insert the following new paragraph: 

 

             "(2) be permitted to extend the credentialing period to assess and issue a determination by an additional fifteen calendar days if, upon review of a complete application, it is determined that the circumstance presented, including an admission of sanctions by the state licensing board, investigation or felony conviction, revocation of clinical privileges or denial of insurance coverage, requires additional consideration;".


    9. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.


    10. On page 17, line 1, after "thirty", strike the remainder of the line, strike line 2 up to the comma and insert in lieu thereof "calendar days as described in Paragraph (1) of this subsection or an additional fifteen days as described in Paragraph (2) of this subsection".
