AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS TO PROVIDE GRANTS-IN-AID FOR LOCAL LIBRARY SERVICES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred fifty thousand dollars ($850,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of cultural affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to provide grants-in-aid for local library services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
